Muscat & Paynesville FC in 3rd Division Playoffs

The Montserrado 3rd Division Championship has ended at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium with Muscat FC finishing as champions.

Two teams from the championship have qualified for the national 3rd division playoffs to be played at different venues across the country.

Champions Muscat FC and Paynesville FC will represent Montserrado County in the national playoffs.

The Du Port road-based side fate was decided Thursday afternoon following an overwhelming victory against Down Town FC at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

The Third Division National Play-Off kicks-off November 10, and it will bring together 12 3rd division championship teams from six Counties.

Two clubs each are expected to represent Nimba, Grand Bassa, Sinoe, Margibi, Bong and Montserrado counties.

The play-off will be played on a home and away knock-out basis where six teams will qualify to the next round.

Round two will see three clubs automatically qualified to the second division, but they will have to play a best out of three clubs final. The club with the highest points will be crowned champions for the year, 2018.

The fixture will see teams from Grand Bassa travel to Sinoe for leg one while the second leg will reciprocal the fixture.

At the same time, the Montserrado Sub Association has relegated three teams.

The teams are Island Knights FC, Waiki FC and Ambassador FC.

The 3rd division national playoffs will begin on November 10, 2018 with 12 teams from six counties featuring.
